Facilities: beds, basins, rooms and desks

Tell Salony what your salon physically has and what each service needs, and bookings stop being offered when the kit is already in use. Two people can never be booked onto one bed at the same time.

Where to find it
Dashboard > More > Settings > Facilities
  1. Step 1: Open Settings, then the Facilities tab.
  2. Step 2: Under Your business, tick what you are: hair salon, barbershop, beauty salon or nail salon. Tick more than one if you do more than one.
  3. Step 3: Under Add a facility, press the suggestions that match your salon, for example Backwash basin, Nail desk, Hood dryer, or the rooms and beds listed for a beauty salon. For anything else, type a name in Something else and press Add.
  4. Step 4: Under Your facilities, set the capacity of each one: how many you have. Two basins means a capacity of two.
  5. Step 5: Under What each service needs, choose a service, switch on each facility it uses, and set how many.
  6. Step 6: Repeat for every service that needs something physical. A consultation that only needs a seat and a chat can be left alone.

Check it worked: Book two of those services into the same time with different team members. The second one is only offered a time when the facility is free.

Tip: Something broken? Switch that facility off in Your facilities and no new booking lands on it until you switch it back on. Fix it at nine, switch it on at ten.

Note: Capacity is counted by type, not by the individual item: three nail desks are one facility with a capacity of three. Add a second entry with a different name only when the two really are different things.

Note: Space renters share your facilities. What they book counts against the same capacity, so a shared room cannot be double-booked between you.

Caution: Until a service names a facility, nothing is checked for it. Facilities only protect the services you link them to.
