What's new
Every update, dated the day it went live.
Numbered in the order they shipped. If you raised something with us, this is where you can see it land.
- #24Fixed
Reports count only money actually received
Revenue reports and top services now count paid appointments, kept deposits and refunds the same way as your Takings screen, and leave renters’ earnings out of salon totals. A discount can no longer take a bill below what the client has already paid.
- #23Improved
Invite a renter from her record
Add a renter who keeps her own system in the account portal, set her hours and time off from the dashboard, and invite her to Salony later with one click. If she joins, her record carries over.
- #22Improved
Spaces in use show in the diary
A renter on her own system appears in the diary as a space in use during her working hours, so online bookings never offer a chair she is sitting in. Her column is marked and cannot take salon bookings.

This page
Every change to Salony now gets a numbered, dated entry here on the day it goes live, so you can see what has changed and whether something you raised has been resolved.
- #20New
Team members who keep their own system
You can now add a space renter who runs her own diary rather than Salony. Her rent agreement is recorded and her space is kept for her, and nothing else about her is stored unless she chooses to join.
- #19Improved
Simpler salon setup
Setting up a salon is now five steps. Your logo is optional and lives in Settings, so a salon without one still shows as fully set up.
- #18Improved
Joining from your invitation is one step
An independent team member invited to rent a space now joins by opening the link and signing in. No code to type and nothing to confirm twice.
- #17Fixed
Staff can add as many bookings as needed
A limit meant for the public booking page was also stopping team members adding a regular client’s appointments from the dashboard. It no longer applies to staff.
- #16Improved
Clearer money permissions
Owners and admins see the revenue reports. Managers keep the overall takings and the till. Independent team members see only their own lists and earnings.
- #15Improved
Completed bookings stay with who did them
Once a booking is marked as done it stays with the team member who did the work, paid or not, so any later payment question lands with the right person.
- #14Improved
Voucher voids, till refunds and analytics tidied
Voiding a voucher now records who, when and why. A till refund can never hand back more cash than was taken. Analytics figures now match your Takings screen.
- #13Under the hood
Reliability, speed limits and monitoring
Background jobs recover on their own if one gets stuck, slow connections time out instead of hanging, and every update now passes automated checks before it goes live.
- #12Fixed
Online bookings stay within opening hours
The booking page and the embedded widget no longer offer a time that would run past closing, even where a team member’s working hours run later.
- #11Fixed
Bookings sit on the right day
A booking in the first hour of a British Summer Time day was filed under the previous day in the diary, the month view and today’s list. All three now agree.
- #10Fixed
Takings and refunds add up properly
Pending money is what is still owed on live bookings, deposits held show on their own line, and every refund is recorded against the payment it came from, including partial refunds.
- #9Fixed
Balance payments by link recorded correctly
A balance paid through a payment link is now matched to its booking every time, so it is never flagged as a double payment.
- #8Improved
Approvals and checkout respect who owns the client
Pending approvals and the needs-checkout list now show each team member only the clients she is allowed to see.
- #7Improved
Renters receive their own booking emails
When a client books an independent team member through her own link, she gets the full booking details and the salon sees only that the time is taken. Clients who book through the salon’s own site stay the salon’s clients.
- #6New
Clear grace period if a subscription payment fails
If a subscription payment fails you get reminders over two weeks before the dashboard is paused, and your booking page stays open throughout. Paying in the account portal lifts the pause straight away.
- #5Fixed
Kept deposits now count as takings
When a client does not turn up, or cancels too late for a refund, the deposit you keep now appears in your takings on the day you kept it.
- #4Under the hood
Online payment notices handled more safely
If payment notices cannot be verified they are held and retried rather than dropped, so a payment is never silently missed.
- #3Fixed
Gift vouchers redeem at checkout only
A gift voucher is now redeemed against the appointment being paid for, and only salon staff can issue or void vouchers.
- #2Under the hood
Stronger separation between salons and sign-ins
Tightened how each salon’s data is kept to that salon, and a team member who has been removed is signed out straight away.
- #1Improved
Independent team members keep to their own column
A team member who rents a space can only change bookings in her own column, however the change is made. Salon staff cannot change hers.
